How do I know which training option is best for me?
Your free initial assessment will give us a baseline of speed, agility, and power so we can see how you compare to other athletes your age. Based on this data, our coaches will recommend the best training program to target areas for improvement and maximize your potential.
What’s the difference between Athlete Classes and Semi-Private Training?
🏆 Athlete Classes: Set times of the day. Available to all Nexus athletes. Separated into middle school and high school age groups. Designed to build overall athleticism, focusing on the fundamental skills every athlete needs—speed, acceleration, power, strength, and injury prevention.
🏋️ Semi-Private & 1-on-1 Training: Uses the same proven principles but with a fully customized approach tailored to your sport, position, and personal goals. If you want individualized programming and coaching to address your specific strengths and weaknesses, this is the best option. Multiple time slots available throughout the day to work around your schedule.
I already have a weight lifting class at school, how do I work around that?
We understand that many middle school and high school programs and coaches already have strength programs in place. Our programs can work around those programs to help supplement the things those programs may not be touching on. If you feel like your strength work is already covered, our Speed Lab Class is a great option to supplement that strength work with isolated speed and agility training. (Learn more about Speed Lab HERE). Many high school and middle school coaches are constrained by the number of athletes, or available facilities to do isolated speed and agility work. Our speed lab is the perfect place to get that work in.
How do I track my workouts and progress?

How often should I train?
Our athletes that train 2+ days per week consistently see the most improvement. However, we understand that athletes have packed schedules with school, practices, and games. Our coaches will customize a training plan that fits your availability while ensuring steady progress without overtraining.
Should I train in-season?
Absolutely. In-season training is crucial for maintaining the strength and speed gains you’ve worked hard for. Our in-season programs are designed to keep you fresh, not fatigued, using a “minimal effective dose” approach to maintain and even improve performance while competing. Our goal is to help you peak at the right time so you can dominate when it matters most.
